Akhenaten was known before the fifth year of his reign as Amenhotep IV. A Pharaoh of the Eighteenth dynasty of Egypt, he ruled for 17 years and died in 1336 BC or 1334 BC. He was the outstanding politician, the well-known religious reformer during which board there were significant changes in the Egyptian life — in the politician and in religion.
